so, if you haven't already noticed by now, the new MotoGP 800s have just got wicked front ends on them and they've put a ton of development into the front tyres which is why the riders are able to get the bikes into the bends quicker.

the 990s produced so much power...which had the engineers focusing on getting that power out of the engine and onto the tar.

i can't help but wonder what would of been of the 990s if the engineers and riders would of put more focus on the front end.

the 800s are said to be making 225 hp - that's not that much of a difference from the 990s.

yes, there are some gyroscopic differneces in the 990s and 800s but, if they would of put more focus on the front ends of the 990s...what would of been?

i dont know too much about the development of the two bikes but if they had put more development into the front end of 990s, would they have been as nimble as the 800s are now? if the 990s could take the corners faster, they would be scary fast.

they were already scary fast lol. they definetely would of been faster though...

i'm going to write a letter to the FIM demanding they revive the 990s so that the front ends can be further developed...

what could have been...

humm...just a hunch though, since they just came out with the 800s, they may not want to bring the 990s back quite yet...
