KAWASAKI MOVES UP – Good performance in qualifying for Regis Laconi, he is able to take his 27th front row spot and manages his best result in two years, since he was second in Imola 2005. Kawasaki haven’t started on the front row since Silverstone 2006, when Chris Walker was third. Next step for Kawasaki is to regain a second spot on the grid, an event that is missing since the 28th of April 2001, when Hitoyasu Izutsu started second in Sugo. Last pole from Kawasaki is even further back in time: 4th of October 1997, Akira Yanagawa in Sugo.

XAUS IMPROVES – Ruben Xaus managed a sixth in the grid in Donington, he wasn't able to qualify that high since Magny Cours 2003, when he was 4th. The best result in 2006 for Xaus was 7th in Silverstone.

TOSELAND – James wins his eleventh race reaching the 14th spot all-time with Laconi and Stephane Mertens, but in race 2 a mechanical failure put an end to his sequence of 22 races in the points, the 12th best of all time. With Toseland sidelined and Rolfo only seventh in race 2, Honda's sequence of ten races in the podium also comes to an end; it started at the Eurospeedway Lausitz in 2006.

50 FOR LANZI - In race 2 Lorenzo Lanzi started his 50th race in the World Championship.

150 FOR HAGA – As forecasted Noriyuki Haga with a fourth and a win managed to be only the 6th rider ever to gain 150 races in the points. The one in race 2 was the 21st win for Haga, who is closing in on Roche with 23.

KAWASAKI IN SUPERSPORT – Kawasaki confirms the good performances shown recently gaining the second pole in a row after the one set in Phillip Island. In the entire history of the Supersport Championship Kawasaki have never recorded 2 poles in a row. The absolute record belongs to Honda, on pole from Assen 2003 to Silverstone 2006, for a total of 30 straight races. The poleman in Donington, Pere Riba, is on his third pole and for the first time in 9 years (A1-Ring 1998).

SOFUOGLU – Good form for the young Turkish rider, who won his fourth race and obtained his ninth podium in a row in only 18 races run. Kenan has been on the podium since Brno 2006. The absolute record of 13 straight podiums recorded by Charpentier from Brands Hatch 2004 to Assen 2005 gets closer.

STOP FOR YAMAHA – With the injuries that sidelined Parkes and Curtain, Yamaha's sequence of 22 straight front rows comes to an end. The absolute record belongs to Honda, with 42 front rows in sequence. It started in Misano 2003 and is still running.

CANEPA IN SUPERSTOCK 1000 – First win for the italian rider in Superstock 1000. Canepa at18 years, 10 months and 18 days old is the third youngest winner in history, before him Chris Vemeulen (17 years, 10 months and 25 days) and Michel Fabrizio (18 years, 8 months and 1 day). Ducati is back on winning ways after four years (Lorenzo Lanzi, Magny Cours 2003).

MAGNONI IN SUPERSTOCK 600 – Michele Magnoni wins his first race in Superstock 600 at his third attempt and is the oldest winner in the brief history of the Championship with 18 years, 8 months and 14 days. The youngest is Maxime Berger, that at the Eurospeedway Lausitz in 2005 won at 16 years, 2 months and 14 days.
