- The opening round of the 2007 MotoGP season may have taken place last weekend in Qatar, but reigning world champion's Repsol Honda will host a special Spanish launch this Sunday in Madrid.
With round two of the championship the following weekend in Jerez, and with team sponsor Repsol also Spanish based, all six Repsol riders - MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden and team-mate Dani Pedrosa, 250cc competitors Julián Simón and Shuhei Aoyama plus 125cc riders Bradley Smith and Esteve Rabat - will descend on the streets of Madrid in an event supported by both the Madrid Town Council and the Madrid Más Moto Show.
The launch will start with a ride through the streets of the city, attended by racers and fans, before a presentation at the Plaza Dali, beside the 'Palacio de Deportes, where the grand prix stars will address their fans on stage.
The stage will recreate the pit garage of the Repsol Honda Team and, once the riders have been introduced, fans will have the chance to enter the ‘garage' and take pictures of the factory RC212V motorbikes of Hayden and Pedrosa. Crash.net | |
