- TENTH WIN FOR JAMES – Toseland wins his tenth race and is the 18th rider in WSBK™ history to reach this goal. Now James has the same number of wins of Fabrizio Pirovano and Chris Vermeulen.
In race 1 the British rider managed to score the 300th podium place for Honda, the second manufacturer that reaches this goal after Ducati.
Toseland declared right after the race that he wants to be consistent and his results reflect this statement: he is scoring points since Monza 2006 (21 races, 18th all-time sequence) and is enduring a streak of 6 races in the points.
1000 FOR XAUS – With the points gained in Phillip Island, Ruben Xaus becomes the 18th rider of all times to reach the 1000 points mark. The Spanish rider at the moment is 16th on 1007 points.
30 FOR HAGA – In race 2 the Japanese rider scores his 30th fastest lap and he is the third rider that can boast at least 30 fastest laps. With him are only Carl Fogarty (48) and Troy Corser (41). Up to Phillip Island Haga shared the all-time third place with Pierfrancesco Chili.
Yamaha scored the fastest lap also in race 1 with Corser and it was since Lausitzring 2005 that the Japanese manufacturer didn't manage to score a double in the fastest laps.
20 STARTERS – Only 20 starters were present on the Phillip Island grids, one of the lowest numbers ever. Only three times was this value lower: • Mosport Park 1991, when a riders strike shrank the number of starters to 19 in race 1 and 17 in race 2; • in Sentul 1994, where the starters were 18 (5 riders failed to qualify); • in Sentul 1997 when Bontempi didn't start and the grid was composed of only 19 riders.
IMPROVEMENTS – Here is how much the different makes improved on the Phillip Island track:

KAWASAKI IN SUPERSPORT - Big news in the Supersport Championship, where Kawasaki won with Fabien Foret. The Japanese manufacturer didn't manage to win since Misano 2003, 40 races ago. In that race it was the same Foret that won for the Akashi company. The french rider won his 10th race and is the fourth rider in history after Casoli, Muggeridge and Charpentier to reach this goal.
