As you all know, Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Yukio Kagayama had a pretty bad day in Phillip Island as he crashed heavily ten minutes into today’s first qualifying session. Following the incident, the unlucky Japanese rider had to be taken to Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital by helicopter to carry out further tests and assess his injuries.

The news coming from Australia is good and reassuring but at the present time, it looks as if he has no broken bones or serious internal injuries. It goes without saying that as soon as we have more information we will post it on this website. Expect a more detailed medical bulletin tomorrow.

In the meantime, we encourage you to send Yukio a comforting e-card using the form designed for that purpose on the website of Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital. Here is the link: http://www.alfred.org.au/foundation/ecard.html
