Italian veterans Marco Borciani and Mauro Sanchini will return to the World Superbike Championship at Monza this weekend after securing wildcard entries for the double-header.
Borciani, 31, (pictured) quit the championship last season to concentrate on running the Sterilgada Ducati team and on his own riding career in the Italian championship - which he won in 2006.
He will ride a second bike for Sterilgada alongside Ruben Xaus - taking over the machine ridden by Giovanni Bussei at Donington Park and Valencia.
Sanchini, 36, meanwhile, will race a third bike for PSG-1 Kawasaki - the team that has employed him as their test rider since he quit the championship in 2005.
Both have over 130 races to their names.
Venezuelan rider Robertino Pietri, 22, will make his series debut at Monza, riding the same Team Giesse Yamaha that he regularly races in the US-based AMA Superbike Championship.
