by not working right, i mean that i bought it in a pretty poor state.
-frost plugs were popped, so reseated them
-front calipers were in bad shape so reconditioned them
-wiring loom to the headlamps had to be repaired cus she was streetfightered at some stage and it got butchered
-speedo sensor was shot so replaced that
-subsequently found out the the speedo clock was funky so replaced the dash
-sidestand had been butchered so replaced it
-fitted a new sidestand safety switch as the old one had been removed and bypassed
-have also fitted a PCII, GI-pro ATRE, K&N and a full s/s M4 zorst along with Gilles Ti rearsets and a pyramid c/f hugger...
so what needs doing now is:
-new clutch needs fitting (genuine plates and barnett springs)
-new gear position sensor on order as the old one is shot (prob due to water in the sump from the popped frost plugs)
-rotary damper is also utterly shot so bitubo rear shock is en route
-front brakes are very spongy... can't seem to get them bled right
-should really look at the rear caliper too...
and what's also planned is:
-rewire the headlamps off a relay
-rewire the coils off a relay
-proper ground contacts for both as well as the ECU
-take the flapper out of the airbox and lose all the related garbage
-dyno for a day to get a custom PC map
-decent spray job
soo, she's nearly there.. but she ain't getting a name until i've gotten to know her a bit better.
as for the GS5 forums, yeah, they've been down for a good while now - i'd say lev just doesn't have the time to be honest.
